Treble for Jones as Chadderton lift cup

WE DID IT . . . Chadderton Juniors under-13s celebrate winning the Tameside and District Junior League Cup after a 4-2 victory over Stalybridge in the final.

CHADDERTON Juniors under-13s lifted the Tameside and District Juniors League Cup after a 4-2 win over Stalybridge.
Luke Jones scored a hat-trick and Ashley Hartley also netted for Chadderton on a memorable day at Mossley’s Seel Park.
They also beat 3D Dynamos 5-4 in the league.
Jack Garside and Jack Hoyle grabbed two goals a piece, with Hartley getting the other.
JACK Woodhead struck four times while Owen Shaughnessy and Kyle Robinson both got trebles as Heyside Junior Blues saw off Dukinfield Tigers 11-2. George Riley was also on the scoresheet.
ROCS under-16s lost 7-0 to Hattersley in the Tameside Sunday League.
CHARLOTTE Lancaster and Abbie Porter scored for Heyside Angels Clarets
under-15s as they drew 2-2 with Uppermill in the North Manchester Girls’ League.
In the same age group, the Angels Blues lost 6-2 to Denton, with goals from Leoni Harland and Alix Sephton.
But the under-14s beat Droylsden 6-0 through an Ella Milovanovic brace and further efforts from Sephton, Ashleigh Dickenson, Kinsa Hmami and Bryony Bolton.
The under-13s swept aside Failsworth Dynamos 5-1 thanks to a Sian Brady hat-trick and goals from Alicia Stretton and Hannah Rigby.
Beth Boothroyd and Katie Halligan netted for the under-11s in their 2-2 draw with Denton Tigers.
OLDHAM Athletic under-16s lost 4-0 to Uppermill. But the under-15s edged out Rochdale 5-3 through a Feiruz Abdullahi double and goals from Emma Kershaw, Lauren Ainsworth and Chloe Austin.
The under-12s were beaten 4-2 by AFC Manchester.
ROCS under-14s defeated Uppermill 10-0 thanks in no small part to five goals from Abby Bennett.
Leah Bickerstaffe netted four times, and Courtenay Thorpe finished the job.
Oldham’s last chance of silverware arrives on Saturday when they face Bolton again, this time in the Greater Manchester Schools’ Woodhead Cup semi-finals (10.30am kick-off).
The venue is yet to be confirmed.
