Trio clinch titles

FOOTBALL: THREE North Bury League clubs took top spot in their respective divisions.

Oldham Rangers under-15s won Division ‘B’ after beating Prestwich Town 2-0.

Tasham Tomlin and Andrew Badby were on target.

Coach Gary Lynch said: “We only lost twice this season and scored 100 goals.”


SPRINGHEAD under-11s clinched the North Bury League Division ‘A’ title after a 5-1 win at Woodbank.
On the mark were Josh Whitehill, Reagan Garforth, Jack Bradbury, Josh Allen and Ryan Mason.

BROADWAY Celtic under-12s are champions of Division ‘B’ after beating Prestwich 8-0.

Adrian Ashcroft notched four goals, Dominic Copeland got two, and Ben Jackson and Matthew McCormack also scored.



LUKE Evans, Joe Ray and Lucas Kavanagh scored in Chadderton Park under-11s’ 3-1 win against Unsworth Dragons.

OLDHAM Athletic under-15s drew 2-2 with Heyside Blues in the North Manchester Girls’ League.

CHADDERTON Park under-11s beat Denton 2-1 through Ella Leghorn and Lizzie Whiteside-Burns strikes.
