RUGBY: WATERHEAD under-11s produced a superb performance to beat Wigan St Patrick’s 12-10.

Mason Edmondson beat three challenges to score near the posts, with Jack Bradbury adding the extras.

The hosts levelled matters just before the interval and went in front after the break with another try.

But Waterhead equalised when Josh Whitehill crossed, following good work from Macauley Jones.

Kegan Brennan won the contest with an impressive conversion from a difficult angle.

OLDHAM St Anne’s under-12s surrendered a half-time lead in a 26-16 defeat at the hands of Chorley Panthers.
After falling behind early on, James Barran crashed over the line to equalise, before adding the extras himself. Regan Croft capped a fine team move by crossing under the posts and he goaled to give the hosts a 12-4 lead at the break.

After the interval Chorley looked a different team, and hit back with 22 unanswered points.

Oliver Depetrillo scored a late consolation try for the Oldham outfit.
