RUGBY: WATERHEAD under-11s saw off visiting West Bank 38-10, running in a total of seven tries.
Will Dickinson, Reagan Garforth, Joe Thewlis, Josh Whitehill, Josh Alan, Jack Bradbury and Lewis Wighton-Turner all touched down, while successful kicks arrived through Dane Taylor, Reece Shaw, Bradbury and Whitehill.
CROSFIELDS came away from their trip to face Saddleworth Rangers under-10s with a solid 24-0 win.
The well-drilled visitors were a converted try up at the interval and scored four more times in the second half, despite the best efforts of man-of-the-match Daniel Boulter, most improved player Daniel South, top tackler Bradley Jinks and parents’ choice Jack Harrison-Brown.
TOP tackler Ryan Wade, Alfie Barker, Ethan Kovac, Trafford Firth, Tyrell Walcott and captain Maison Broxton were all among the tries as Higginshaw under-10s romped to a 60-8 home victory over Langworthy.
DESPITE a large helping of effort and commitment, Oldham St Anne’s under-nines fell to a 20-4 home loss against West Bank.
Adam Pilling showed that size isn’t everything against giant opponents, earning the man-of-the-match award for Saints, whose only try came from Sam Thackeray.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers under-nines had to settle for a 3-3 draw with Thatto Heath.
Two tries down in the first half, Robbie Coates pulled one back only to see Thatto go in again before the sides changed ends.
A second Coates effort narrowed the gap and top tackler Kien Molloy grabbed the equalising score
