Double delight for Crompton

ATHLETICS: CROMPTON House dominated the track events in the Oldham Schools Championships at Radclyffe School.
Wins for the girls in Year Nine 100-metre, 200m, 800m and 1,500m, and the relay and hurdles finals helped them acquire 122 points.
Crompton’s Year Sevens also led the way at 800m level, while the Year Eights followed suit in the 1,500m. Saddleworth claimed second place with 90 points.
As for the boys, Hulme (89) and Saddleworth (86) were not too far off Crompton House, who took the honours with a return of 106.
Crompton came out on top in Year Seven 1,500m, Year Eight 800m, Year Nine 400m and hurdles and Year 10 400m and relay.
Neena Goddard, PE teacher at Radclyffe School, said: “We were absolutely delighted to once again host the Oldham Schools Championships, which were a big success.
“We are already looking forward to next time.”
