SADDLEWORTH’S James Howard played a key role in Lancashire under-12s’ victory over Yorkshire at Urmston.
Batting first, Yorkshire were bowled out for 141.
The Red Rose found themselves on 67 for four but James came in at number six and clocked up an unbeaten 43.
His 75-run partnership with Osman Butt saw Lancashire triumph.
They have played eight fixtures, winning five and losing just one, with two contests rained off.
They head into the Taunton Festival on Monday in good spirits.
