Hot-shots Chaddy net goals galore

FOOTBALL:

SAUL Ashworth bagged a hat-trick and Sam Robinson notched a double for Chaddy End against Inter Cheadle in the Tameside Sunday League — but the under-19s side had a settle for a 5-5 draw.

The club’s under-17s hit six — Jaydn Knox (three), Zak Porter, Daniel Hawthorne and Niall Cullen did the damage — in a thrilling 6-5 defeat of AFC Stanley.

They had earlier drawn 3-3 with ROCS — Knox, Porter and Liam Johnson got the goals — and overcame AFC Oldham 3-1. Knox, Cullen and Johnson were the marksmen.

And the goals continued as Chaddy End under-12s, thanks to Drew Mulligan (three) and Sam Higham, were held to a 4-4 with Dukinfield Tigers.



CROMPTON Villa under-15s lost 4-3 at Prestwich Marauders Tigers.

On the mark for Villa were skipper Josh Dale, Ryan Hall and Hayden Clarke.

It came on the back of a 4-3 win against Waterloo, in which Clarke got a brace, and was joined on the scoresheet by Dale and Jack Johnson.

ROCS under-17s drew 3-3 with Chaddy End thanks to efforts from Matthew Lowe, Declan Tighe and David Clegg.



CHADDERTON Juniors under-14s saw off Higher Blackley Rebels 4-1.

James Larty, Brad Connell, Danny Miller and Liam Hindley netted.

The win arrived hot on the heels of a

3-1 triumph over Middleton lads. Julius Chike (two) and Brad Connell got the goals.



CHADDERTON Park Eagles under-14s defeated Northside 2-1, while the under-13s overcame Chadderton Juniors 5-4 thanks to Matt Cunningham (three), Connor Evans and Sam Jackson goals.

The under-12s lost 5-0 to Prestwich.

DANNY Nevin scored the consolation goal as Phoenix Athletic under-13s were beaten 2-1 by Stalybridge Celtic Whites.



CHADDERTON Juniors under-14s defeated 3D Dynamos 5-2 in the Tameside and District League through a brace each from James Larty and Luke Jones, and a Liam Hindley effort.



PHOENIX Athletic under-14s lost 7-1 at home to Fothergill Falcons in the Rochdale and Oldham Youth League. Cameron Reavey was the Athletic scorer.



CHADDERTON Park Lions under-14s edged out Radcliffe Borough 3-2.

The under-12s saw off Unsworth 10-1 through four Jacques Bromby efforts, an Ellis Rogers treble and goals from Alex Knight, Harry McCarrick and Cameron Fox-Smith.

The under-12s lost 4-2 to Rossendale Valley despite Joe Ray and Ryan Slater strikes.

Kade May netted for Chadderton Park Eagles under-11s, who lost 2-1 to West Bury Cobras in the North Bury League.

The Lions went down 7-1 to Prestwich Town in the same age group, Jack Ellis grabbing the consolation goal.



BILLY Slattery and Adam Beese-Beddall, who scored direct from a corner, were on

target as Broadway Celtic under-14s drew 2-2 with Westbury Falcons.
