RUGBY:
SADDLEWORTH Rangers under-16s produced a spirited second-half fight back but still lost 28-16 against Bold Miners in the North-West Counties League Premier Division.
Trailing 22-0 at the break, Rangers were much better after the restart and Jack Johnson, Jed Mawrsley and Sebastian Leech all went over, with Brad Grantmyre twice converting.
