Barran sparkles for Saints

RUGBY: JAMES Barran scored four tries for a second week in a row as Oldham St Anne's under-13s beat Clock Face 40-6.
After falling behind, Saints’ Owen Baldwin, Regan Croft (two) and Barran produced tries in the first half, Baldwin goaling twice.
In the second period, Cameron Molloy crossed, Barran went over three more times — and Oliver Depetrillo also touched down.
Saints’ under-12s earned a 28-18 win over Accrington.
Lewis Croft (two), Sam Hall, Bradley Howarth and Sean Cosgrove crossed, with Robert Charles kicking four conversions. Chorley Panthers beat Saints’ under-11s 40-28.
Try scorers for the visitors were Sam Irving–Foy (two), Cain Nicholson and Zack Critchley.
SADDLEWORTH Rangers under-16s lost 26-10 to Crossfields despite tries from Harry Wallace and Lewis Christian, and a Dominic D’Adamo conversion.
The under-14s suffered a 29-14 defeat at the hands of Ince Rose Bridge.
Harry Aaronson led the resistance with two tries, but Ince were too strong.
Birthday boy Nathan Roebuck had a stand-out game for Rangers’ under-12s, but his side lost out 12-8 at home to Widnes Moorfield. James Rice and Nathan Roebuck scored out wide.
