FOOTBALL:
UNBEATEN Mills Hill roared to victory in the Radclyffe School cluster football competition.
Skipper Ellis Simms and his team-mates won four matches and drew another to come out on top in the round-robin tournament, which was blessed by a decent spell of weather.
The annual event is designed to encourage budding footballers to play the sport in a competitive, friendly environment.
Mills Hill saw off the challenge of Christ Church, Bare Trees, St Luke’s (Chadderton), Burnley Brow and Freehold, and finished seven points clear at the top of the table.
Organiser Liam Roberts, Radclyffe School’s sports co-ordinator, said he was delighted with the way the event turned out.
He added: “The event was fantastic. What was particularly pleasing was the great sportsmanship of all the young people.”
