CLUBS reflected on a memorable season at the Saddleworth and District Cricket League junior presentation night.
Greenfield and Glodwick finished joint top of the under-13s Division league, while Shaw edged out Saddleworth in the cup final. Saddleworth’s James Howard produced the best batting and bowling figures.
In the under-15s category, Bamford Fieldhouse finished behind title-winning Moorside. Bad weather conditions meant Bamford and Greenfield shared the Leicester Shield. Moorside’s Charlie Price and Jordon Taylor set the standard in batting and bowling averages respectively.
Heyside won the under-17s title, with Ashton taking second spot. Greenfield enjoyed Romida Trophy glory, again at the expense of Ashton. Liam Parfitt, of Greenfield, won man-of-the-match.
Ashton’s Kamran Yousaf led the way in the batting averages, while Zafran Munir, of Friarmere, was top bowler.
