Alex claims eight golds

SWIMMING:
OLDHAM’S Alex Crossland-Robins bagged eight gold medals at the Warburtons Gala in Bury, winning every race in which he competed.
Swimming for Stockport Metro, the 11-year-old Royton and Crompton School pupil also recorded six
personal best times. He won breaststroke (100 metre and 200m), butterfly (100m and 200m), backstroke (50m) and freestyle (200m, 400m and 1,500m).
Alex’s times: 100m breaststroke 1 minute, 36.87 seconds (personal best); 200m breaststroke 3.21.63 (pb); 100m butterfly 1.22.30; 200m butterfly 2.55.80; 200m freestyle 2.26.69 (pb); 400m freestyle 5.07.40 (pb); 1,500m freestyle 19.56.64 (pb); 50m backstroke 36.58 (pb).
