Hot-shot Adam ties opponents in knots

FOOTBALL:
FOUR-GOAL Adam Knott led the way as Boundary Park Juniors under-11s ‘A’ swept aside Pro-Sport Strikers 12-0 in the Manchester Youth and Mini-Soccer League.
Max Flanagan weighed in with a double, while Louie Fielding, Ged Greaves, Dylan Whittingham, Luke Smith, Nathan Phelan and Daniel Harkin bagged one apiece in the resounding victory.
Billy Melia (two) and Michael Turmeau were on the mark for the ‘B’ team in a 3-2 defeat of Moston Brook.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-14s put in a tremendous display to beat hosts Platt Lane City 5-3.
On the mark were Daniel Hawkins (two), Julius Chike, Brad Connell and James Larty.
CHADDERTON Park under-12s Lions went down 1-0 against Chaddy End FC, and under-13s Cobras were beaten 3-2 by Shawclough. Matthew Cunningham scored the consolation goals. But the club’s under-15s were too good for Boundary Park, Danny Horton (four), Matty Worral (three), Olly Hunt (three), Rob Smith (two), Tom Ashton (two), Luke Whitworth and Josh Riley getting the goals in the 16-0 victory.
HEYSIDE Juniors under-14s had Kieran Thomasson (two), Josh Park, Callum Harris and Jordan McLoughlin on target in a 5-2 defeat of Denton Phoenix.
HIGH-FLYING Chadderton Park FC under-12s Eagles made it 11 wins out of 11 in terrific style.
They fired six past hosts Middleton Boys in the North Bury Junior League, thanks to Luke Evans hat-trick, and further efforts from Nathan Booth, Lucas Kavanagh and Joe Ray.
LEWIS Wood set the ball rolling as 3D Dynamos under-15s romped to an 11-1 win at Prestwich Town.
He also added another, with Elliot Blenkinsop (two), Ben Ashworth (two), Joe Chadderton, Jack Brocklehurst, Josh Leah, Danny Laithwaite and Aaron Inglis getting the others. Eight of the goals were scored in the second half.
HEYSIDE Juniors under-14s, with Ryan Baldwin, Jonathan Mafalo, Keenan Dewar, Joseph Fagan and Jonathan Mafolo on the scoresheet, defeated Medlock Rangers 5-0 in the Tameside and District Youth League.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-14s were leading Reddish North End 4-2 when the match was abandoned.
The referee blew up with eight minutes to go, because of a head injury to a North End player.
Scorers for Chadderton FC were James Larty (three) and Luke Jones.
JACK Johnson’s four-goal heroics were in vain as Crompton Villa under-15s lost 8-4 at Alkrington Dynamos.
