Jack the lad is shoot-out star

FOOTBALL:

GOALKEEPER Jack Fielding was the star of the show for Chadderton Park under-15s after he saved two penalties in a North Bury League Cup shoot-out win against Prestwich Town, following a 0-0 draw.

Park won the contest 4-2 on spot-kicks.

The under-12s Eagles made it 12 wins in a row with a 5-1 triumph over Unsworth.

Joe Ray got three goals and Nathan Booth scored two.

The under-11s drew 3-3 with Unsworth despite a Danny Clinxh brace and Jack Quinn’s effort.



BOUNDARY Park Juniors under-15s ‘A’ beat Whitefield Athletic 8-2, with Callum Berriman twice hitting the target. Also on the mark were Ryan Knott, Brendan Moores, Stevie Mason, Tyler Broad, Adam Sweeney and Patric Omboujno.

The under-15s ‘B’ team edged out Failsworth Town 2-1 thanks to Liam Seddon and Liam Eadforth efforts.



JOE Chadderton’s double helped 3D Dynamos under-15s to a 3-1 win over Walshaw Park in the Additional Cup. Kieran Atkinson got the other goal.



NORTH Chadderton High Year Sevens progressed to the fifth round of the national ESFA Under-12 Nations Schools’ Cup after a 4-1 victory over St Bede’s (Blackburn and Darwen).

J Runner’s hat-trick and a goal from N Booth sealed the win. North Chadderton travel to St Edmund Arrowsmith High (Wigan) in the next round.

Failsworth Sports College also went through courtesy of a 4-1 defeat of Audenshaw School. Their reward is a home tie against St Wilfrids Catholic High (Wakefield). Royton and Crompton lost 1-0 to Archbishop Beck Catholic College (Liverpool).



A DANNY Lewis treble and two Dane Mansfield goals saw Heyside Juniors under-16s defeat Middleton Boys 6-2. Michael Hall also scored.



CROMPTON Villa eased to a 9-2 triumph over Mossley after a Josh Dale hat-trick, two goals apiece from Josh Croll and Hayden Clarke, and further efforts courtesy of Liam Pilling and Ryan Hall.



FOUR goals from Leoni Harland helped Heyside Angels Blues to a 7-4 defeat of Oldham Athletic in the North Manchester Girls’ League.

Lauren Patterson struck twice and Sophie Montgomery put the icing on the cake.

The under-16s Angels Clarets saw off Uppermill 7-2 after four efforts from Taomi Hawksworth, Kelly Ward’s brace and a solitary Shannon Ryan strike.

Ella Milovanovic’s goal was not enough to prevent the under-15s losing 3-1 to Chadderton Park.



ROCS under-16s were beaten 3-0 by Denton Girls. But the under-15s swept aside Uppermill ‘B’ 12-0 courtesy of four goals from Abby Bennett, a hat-trick apiece from Ashleigh Spragg and Alys Wild, and Kate Moran and Courtenay Thorpe efforts.
