CROSS COUNTRY:
CROMPTON House girls roared to title glory in the Oldham Schools Cross-Country Championships after winning the Year Nine and 10/11 categories.
They also earned a pair of second-place finishes in the Year Seven and Eight groups, which were topped by Hulme Grammar and Saddleworth respectively.
North Chadderton claimed the overall runners-up spot — their Year Eight and Nine athletes were third, while the Year Sevens came fourth and Year 10/11s occupied second position.
Blue Coat bagged third after laying claim to second place in Year Nine, third in Year Seven and sixth in Year Eight, while the Year 10/11s finished fourth.
