BASKETBALL:
SADDLEWORTH School will fly the flag for the borough in the Year Nines section of the Greater Manchester Basketball Championships tomorrow.
The slam-dunking youngsters will line-up against other teams across the area at the Amaechi Centre, Whalley Range.
Saddleworth earned the right to represent the town after clinching the Oldham Schools title at the Oasis Academy Ball Hall.
After boasting an unbeaten record in the group stage, they went on to defeat Crompton House in the last four and overcome a spirited Failsworth Sports College side in the final.
