Heavy home defeat for Titans

BASKETBALL: OLDHAM Titans went down to a 94-44 home defeat at the hands of Burnley College Blaze in the North Conference.
With a number of key players missing, coach Mark Hamilton knew this was going to be a tough game and that simply keeping up with their opponents would be an uphill struggle.
The first quarter was a relatively close affair, with Burnley edging it 23-16, but the lead had been increased to 38-25 by half-time.
The visitors stepped up a gear in the third quarter and applied more pressure when Titans were in possession.
Oldham only managed six points and, despite a slight improvement in the final quarter, they gave away the ball far too often and lost more ground on their conquerers.
Adam Graham top-scored for Titans with 12 points.
