Pupils bound for Bowlee

ATHLETICS:
PUPILS from Oldham schools will be gunning for glory in the 19th annual cross-country race, organised by Middleton Harriers, on Saturday.
They will be up against youngsters from Middleton and Rochdale at Bowlee Country Park (10am).
Oldham schools taking part are: Diggle Primary; St Anne’s, Greenacres; St Joseph’s RC, Shaw; St Mary's CE, Crompton; St Aiden & St Oswald RC, Royton; St Anne’s Royton; Thornham St James; Mills Hill Primary; Chadderton Hall Juniors; Hulme Grammar (Hulme Court); St Herbert’s RC.
Harriers’ president Jack Kirk said: “We are delighted that so many schools have entered boys and girls in these races, which are intended to be competitive but also enjoyable for everyone taking part.””
