FOOTBALL:
IT was a case of third time lucky as 3D Dynamos under-15s defeated title rivals Whitworth Valley 3-1 in the North Bury Junior League.
The previous two attempts to play the game were postponed because of the weather, but there were no problems on this occasion. Lewis Wood scored a hat-trick as 3D produced a superb team display to recover from a goal down at half-time to claim the spoils.
ROCS FC under-17s put up a great fight against Nelson Blues, who play in a division higher, in the last four of the Challenge Cup. But despite goals from Romario Campbell and David Clegg, the teenagers were beaten 6-2.
AARON Barrow (two), Ben Mulholland, Harry Wild, Billy Linehan and own goal did the damage as Heyside Juniors recorded an emphatic 6-1 win over AFC Stanley East Manchester Junior League Cup semi-finals.
