CYCLING:
ALL eyes were on Jake Ragan as he clinched victory in the Future Stars Revolution series at Manchester Velodrome.
Around 3,000 people flocked to the popular venue to watch the event, which was televised on ITV4.
The 16-year-old, from Denshaw, represented Maxgear and saw off stiff competition from some of the North-West’s other leading lights to claim impressive triumphs in all four races.
Proud dad Mark said: “Despite being up against some really good competitors, Jake won by some distance. It was a fantastic experience to do it in front of 3,000 people at the Manchester Velodrome.
“A big part of this sport is getting your name out there, word of mouth is so important so a lot more people are now familiar with Jake and what he can do.”
