Draw secures title for ROCS

FOOTBALL:
ROCS under-15s won the North Manchester Girls’ League title after a 3-3 draw with Heyside Angels Clarets.
Abby Bennett twice hit the target and Leah Bickerstaffe got the other goal for ROCS.
Kinsa Hmami, Alix Sephton and Ella Milovanovic responded for Heyside.
Heyside under-16s lost 3-0 to Oldham Athletic, but the under-14s cruised to a 10-0 victory over Middleton Athletic.
Sian Brady scored four goals, Ashleigh Wylie notched a treble, Alicia Stretton got two and Rachel Johnson put the icing on the cake.
The under-14s defeated Uppermill 3-2 thanks to a Tia Jackson brace and Emily Whitehead’s strike.
Emily Pennells and Hannah Rigby struck in the under-13s Angels Blues 2-0 win against Delamere Rangers.
In the same age group, the under-13s Angels Navys saw off Glossop 6-0. On the mark were Lavinia Whitehead and Ella Leghorn with two apiece, Tia Jackson and Beth Boothroyd.
Hollie Shaw and Mollie Stelfox scored as the under-11s drew 2-2 with Denton.
OLDHAM Athletic under-13s got the better of Heyside Blues 3-0 through goals from Hannah Saunders, Danielle Partington and Feiruz Abdullahi.
They also beat Hillgate 2-0 courtesy of Rebecca Turner and Lucy Kershaw efforts.
BROADWAY Celtic under-15s defeated Chadderton Park 2-1 in the Tameside Sunday League courtesy of goals from Adam Czacow and Zach Gemmill.
Tom Ashton replied for Park.
LUCAS Foster-Jones netted for Boundary Park under-15s but they lost 2-1 to Failsworth Town.
The under-12s were beaten 4-2 by Manchester Corinthians despite strikes from Harry Thorpe and Jamal Steele.
