GYMNASTICS:
COUSINS Grace Kenney-Tindall and Lucy Tindall will be gunning for gymnastic glory at the British Schools’ Championships in May.
The duo, who attend Holy Rosary, reached the national finals, to be held in Stoke, after victory in the North-West area competition.
Grace (11) and Lucy (10) struck gold in the under-11s girls pairs floor work category at Wigan-Robin Park.
The hard work put in by trainer Clare Jaskolka and the other coaches at Eclipse Acro Gymnastics Club in Oldham meant they had the best possible preparation for the tournament.
Competition was fierce, with 29 other pairs looking to take the title.
Performing to the theme tune from the “Harry Potter” films, the girls left the judges spellbound to earn victory with an impressive score of 8.4 out of 10.
