District football given fresh hope

FOOTBALL:
OLDHAM schools’ district football could be resurrected in time for next season thanks to a positive response from around the borough to manage at least one of the schoolboy sides.
Last week, for the first time, the borough was unable to field any representative teams at schoolboy level due to a complete lack of team managers — a role traditionally filled by teachers.
