BASKETBALL: OLDHAM Titans under-16s roared to a 106-56 home triumph over Bradford College Dragons in the North Conference.
David Walsh led the rout, bagging 30 points for Mark Hamilton and Steve Atkinson’s side.
It came a week after being crowned champions — and the team celebrated in style in the final match before the play-offs.
Titans started as they meant to go on with a high tempo, and by the end of the first quarter they found themselves 24-13 in front.
They continued to demonstrate good defence and communication in the second period and retained their lead.
Titans slipped a couple of gears in the third quarter and were outscored 20-7, but they turned it around for the final period. The home outfit ran rings around their opponents and stole the ball at every opportunity with good rebounding and fast breaks.
