FOOTBALL:
FORMER Manchester United and England ace Ray Wilkins dropped by South Failsworth Primary School to pass on some useful advice ahead of a forthcoming Wembley visit.
A team from the school have made it through to the npower Football League Under-11s Kids Cup Grand Final.
They will represent Oldham Athletic and take on opposition from Brentford on May 19, before the League One play-off final on the same afternoon.
Sky Sports soccer pundit Wilkins, who put the team through their paces in an hour-long training session, said: “The kids were excellent. There are many senior professionals out there who haven’t played at Wembley. It’s an experience they will never forget.
“I am sure that once they get there and see the enormity of the place, then the nerves will kick in as well as the excitement.”
