Harland bags a hat-trick

FOOTBALL:

HEYSIDE under-15s swept aside Uppermill 6-1 in the North Manchester Girls’ League thanks to Leoni Harland’s hat-trick, two goals from Kinsa Hmami and an Ella Milovanovic strike.

The win secured the runners-up berth for Heyside.

They also thumped Hillgate Blues 11-1, with Harland bagging four goals, and Hmami, Milovanovic and Alix Sephton getting two apiece. Ashleigh Dickenson completed the rout.

The under-16s were held to a 2-2 draw by Oldham Athletic. Sophie Montgomery and Hayley Fielding scored for Heyside.



ROCS under-15s beat Chadderton Park 4-1 courtesy of two goals apiece from Alys Wild and Georgia Anwas.

They also got the better of Heyside Angels Clarets 4-2, Wild at the double for Rocs, for whom Leah Bickerstaffe and Abby Bennett also netted.

Bickerstaffe also scored twice in the 4-1 victory over Uppermill ‘A’. Anwas and Abby Bennett put the icing on the cake.
