WINNERS: CHADDERTON Park under-12s Eagles celebrate collecting the County Cup.
FOOTBALL:
CHADDERTON Park under-12s Eagles lifted the County Cup after a 2-0 victory over a strong Heyside team.
It was the first time a Park side had reached the final since the club’s formation in 1979.
Goals from Joe Ray and Ryan Slater clinched the win and extended their team’s unbeaten run to 37 matches. It completed a fine treble, having claimed the league title and Fleetwood Cup.
HEYSIDE Angels under-16s booked their place in the League Cup final after a 5-2 win over Denton, with Leoni Harland scoring a hat-trick. Hayley Fielding and Lauren Patterson did the rest of the damage.
Harland got another treble in the under-15s’ 7-2 defeat of Uppermill, with Ella Milovanovic following suit and Alix Sephton getting the other goal.
ROCS under-15s beat Chadderton Park 2-0 in the League Cup semi-final after Abby Bennett and Alys Wild pounced.
