SWIMMING:
OLDHAM swimmer Alex Crossland-Robins hit the heights at the Satellite Open in Macclesfield, claiming nine gold and two bronze medals.
He took top spot in butterfly (50 metres, 100m, 200m), individual medley (200m, 400m), freestyle (200m, 400m) and backstroke (50m, 200m).
Alex was up against swimmers a year older than him in the 100m races.
It came hot on the heels of the talented young swimmer helping Stockport Metro win the Arena League National ‘B’ final in Sheffield.
The Royton and Crompton pupil trains six days a week under the guidance of coach Martin Brookes.
