Under-14s seal stunning silverware treble for club
OLDHAM Netball Club are celebrating a brilliant hat-trick.
Following on from the success of the senior team and under-16s, the club’s under-14s were crowned national champions in Bath.
The youngsters inflicted a 24-9 defeat on Woodley to take the title.
In previous weeks, Oldham clinched the Premier League and the under-16s claimed gold in their corresponding tournament.
Eighteen teams — two representatives from each of the nine regions — took part.
Oldham dominated its group, recording a 100-per-cent record.
There was no stopping the local outfit, who showed their class by sweeping to a 17-13 victory over North-West rivals Trafford.
Final opponents Woodley were hoping to spoil the party, but Oldham were too good.
The jubilant winners were presented with their medals by Team Bath star Asha Francis.
