Heyside show Dutch courage

FOOTBALL:
HEYSIDE Juniors boys and Angels girls returned from Holland with three trophies.
The youngsters were in the Netherlands as part on an exchange weekend.
The lads — a mix of under-15s and 16 — were unlucky to exit the Heumen international competition at the group stage. Despite not losing a game, they went out on goal difference.
But the team bounced back in style to win the AWC competition. Seeing off the challenge of teams from Holland, Germany, Belgium, Russia and England, they again remained unbeaten.
Girl power came in the form of the Angels’ under-15s and 16s’ success in the Grav 57 tournament.
Playing 11-a-side football for the first time, they won every game, while the younger u-14 and u-15 Angels were runners-up. The older Angels also clinched victory in the AWC competition.
