Oldham trio claim gold haul

ATHLETICS:
THREE Oldham youngsters clinched gold in the Greater Manchester Track and Field Championships at Longford Park.
Waterhead pupil Adam Howard led the way in the 800 metres race.
Emma Peters, of Blue Coat, and Crompton House’s Chris Brown both claimed first place finishes in 1,500m.
Silver went to Matt Teacy (Oldham Sixth Form) in discus, Callum McNally (Hulme Grammar) in 200m, Brad Ratcliffe (Blue Coat) for his efforts in shot put and Zenni Enechi (Hulme Grammar) in long jump.
Zac Stansfield (Waterhead) was fourth in the 200m final while Danielle Parrott (North Chadderton), Rebecca Lever (Crompton House), Rachel Birchall (Hathershaw), Robyn Jones (Blue Coat), Joshua Lamanna (Crompton House) and Alex Proctor (Blue Coat) also took part.
