Stars of the future were on show at Oldham RL’s Whitebank ground.
The Championship One outfit played host to the Oldham Schools Rugby League finals.
Here are the reports —
Saddleworth 12, Waterhead Academy 20 — WATERHEAD emerged victorious in the Year Sevens final in a close encounter. Saddleworth threw away an early 8-0 advantage.
Saddleworth 50, Failsworth 8 — IN the Year Eights showdown, Saddleworth proved too strong for a Failsworth side who never gave up.
Saddleworth 36, Newman College 14 — IN the Year Nine final, Saddleworth held a 14-8 advantage at half time, and ran out comfortable winners by the end.
Saddleworth 58, Blue Coat 0 — A STRONG Saddleworth side dominated the Year 10 contest. The deadlock was broken after 15 minutes when Matthew Jackson crashed over. A flurry of tries followed as Saddleworth displayed a fine array of skills.
