Hulme pupil bags double gold in National Championships
WATER way for Oldham swimmer Dylan Arzoni to make an impact on the big stage!
The 12-year-old Hulme Grammar pupil claimed two gold medals in the British Gas Age Group National Championships in the 100m and 200m backstroke.
It was the second year Dylan, of Grasscroft, topped the 100m backstroke section.
The Stockport Metro swimmer also took silver in 200m individual medley and bronze for his 100m freestyle efforts.
But his backstroke times were two of the fastest ever recorded by a British 12 year old.
He has now been invited onto the British Swimming England talent program.
Dylan said: “I really enjoyed going back to the nationals this year.
“I wanted to defend my title in the 100m backstroke, but I knew it was going to be tough.
“It felt incredible to go beyond my goal and come home with four medals, and to be the national champion at two events. Dylan trains for 12 hours across six sesions a week
