SHOWJUMPING:
OLDHAM rider Bethany Marsden has been towering above her older and more experienced opponents.
The 14-year-old Royton and Crompton School pupil, riding Jerri, won the North-West Open at Croft Top Equestrian Centre- where many of her opponents were in their 30s.
It came hot on the heels of victory in the Fearn Farm seniors at Aintree.
“I have been a horse enthusiast since the age of five and it has built up over the years,” she said.
“I am with Jerri every day and I wouldn’t change that for anything. This has been my
passion for as long as I can remember. We have won a lot of rosettes together and I hope there will be more to come in the future.”
