Abby inspires ROCS victory

FOOTBALL:

ABBY Bennett scored four times as ROCS under-16s beat Uppermill ‘B’ 8-1 in the North Manchester Girls’ League.

Leah Bickerstaffe netted twice, while Kate Moran and Ashleigh Spragg completed the rout.



AMY Platt’s hat-trick put Uppermill under-15s on their way to a 6-3 victory over Denton.

Also on target were Caitlin Thomas, Emily Stead and Ellie Saxon.

The under-16s drew 1-1 with Chadderton Park, while the under-12s saw off Glossop North End 4-1.



UPPERMILL under-16s drew 2-2 at Brighouse ‘B’ in the Huddersfield and District League.

Under-15s action saw them win 8-2 at Battyforde thanks to a brace of own goals, a Jack Harper hat-trick and efforts from Sean Bergin, Lewis Barlow and Danny Jones.
