James Mounsey of Blue Coat: hat-trick celebration
FOOTBALL:
BLUE Coat felt supersonic at Oasis Academy after winning the Year 10 ‘B’ boys’ knock-out competition.
They saw off stiff competition in a high-quality field to take the plaudits, with victory over Radclyffe in the final.
Organiser Joe Varey, a PE teacher at Oasis Academy, said: “It was nice to see so many youngsters trying their very best in every match.
“I would say it was a very successful evening, during which some great football was on show. Congratulations to Blue Coat for going all the way to the final and winning. It was brilliant to watch.”
Teams from Crompton House, Oldham Academy North, Royton and Crompton and hosts Oasis Academy also took part in the tournament.
