Five-star Failsworth

FOOTBALL: FAILSWORTH’S Year 11s are through to the last 16 of the ESFA Under-16s Schools’ Cup, following a tremendous 5-2 victory against All Hallows RC High School, Salford.

Strikes from Charlie Fuller and Jack Holmes saw Failsworth lead 2-1 at the break.

Fuller was on target again after the restart and further efforts from Matthew Wilson and Riley Moxon clinched victory in the fifth-round tie.

Failsworth will entertain Wright Robinson College (Manchester) in the New Year.
