Ten year old Ryan Davies
PINT-SIZED pool player Ryan Davies is already shaking up his elders.
The 10-year-old, from Royton, has made such an impact on the northern junior circuit that he has been invited for England eight-ball pool trials at Leicester next month.
But that event is at under-18 level and Ryan (pictured) is believed to be the youngest player ever to reach those trials.
Guided by local coach Barry Broadbent, Ryan is also a prodigious talent at snooker, regularly making breaks any senior player would be proud of – only recently compiling a run of 45.
Ryan’s older brother, 15-year-old Aaron, is already a member of the England team and has several pool and snooker titles to his credit.
But he will have to watch out for Ryan, who seems equally talented and already gives him a run for his money in practice.
