CROSS COUNTRY: CHRISTOPHER Brown returned from Northern Ireland with a silver medal from the latest McCain’s Cross-Country Challenge event.
The Crompton House pupil and Trafford AC member produced a sparkling performance in Antrim, clocking 12 minutes 28 seconds - only seven seconds behind the winner.
Cardiff is the venue for the next stage in the McCain’s series, which takes place this weekend, weather permitting.
Brown (14) is in great form, having won the Greater Manchester Cross-Country Championships and the Oldham Schools titles in the last couple of months.
