Cracking Kurt helps Uppermill to title

KURT Bennett netted a hat-trick in Uppermill under-14s’ 8-1 league title-winning victory at Gomersal and Cleckheaton.
Also on the mark were George Allcock (two), Tom Simpson, Alex Ralphs and Nathan Greenwood.
The result sealed Uppermill’s Division Three championship success: they didn’t lose a game all season.
Uppermill under-15s drew 3-3 at Ospring as Josh Barlow (two) and Matt Partington registered.
The under-16s enjoyed two big wins – 8-2 against Hade Edge and 9-1 against Greetland.
CHADDERTON FC Juniors under-15s booked a League Cup final place after beating Unsworth, from the division above, in a penalty shoot-out.
In normal time Chadderton had been 3-0 down, only to fight back to level at 3-3 as Muhaiminal Islam, Danny Hawkins and Aiden Brierley netted.
BROADWAY Celtic under-15s enjoyed a terrific 4-2 win at Radcliffe Borough. Celtic’s hit-men were Ryan Booth (two), Joe Laycock, and William Whitehead.
HEYSIDE Juniors under-17s lost 2-1 to Swinton as Jack Cavill was on target.
Max Brand hit a hat-trick in Heyside under-14s’ 5-4 win against Failsworth West. Lewis Mason and Sam Walley also netted.
HEYSIDE Angels under-16s won by the odd goal in five against Uppermill ‘A’.
On target were Leoni Harland, Phoebe Dunne and Kinsa Hmami.
Harland then bagged a four-timer in a 7-0 win against Uppermill ‘B’.
Alix Sephton (two) and Hmami completed the rout.
The under-16s Metz team prevailed 4-0 against Uppermill ‘B’ as Sian Brady, Katie Newton (two) and Ashleigh Wylie netted.
Caitlin Senior, Emily Whitehead and Tia Jackson were on the mark as the Angels under-15s Inter edged out Uppermill 3-2.
UPPERMILL under-15s were edged out 3-2 at Heyside Angels Inter as Georgia Blackshaw and Amy Platt scored.
