First loss for leaders Greenfield

SADDLEWORTH Under-15s League leaders Greenfield suffered their first defeat of the season, by 11 runs at Droylsden.
Having restricted the hosts to 113 for four, they couldn’t secure the victory as they only reached 102 for six in reply.
Saddleworth’s victory by six wickets at home to Micklehurst allowed them to draw level with Greenfield at the top.
A 50 from Jake Cauldwell helped Micklehurst reach 127 for two in 20 overs.
In reply, the prolific James Howard took his season’s tally to over 200 runs with another 50 as Saddleworth reached 129 for four.
Shaw secured their first win of the season by 12 runs away at Stalybridge St Paul’s.
Jack Benson’s 33 helped Shaw reach 102 for seven.
Ben Watson’s 52 was the outstanding performance as Stalybridge scored 90 for eight in reply.
Heyside also celebrated their first win of the campaign, by 64 runs at home to Moorside.
The visitors dismissed Heyside for 92, but their young batters struggled and were all out for 28.
Glodwick enjoyed a massive 156-run win against Austerlands.
Tommy Jones (51 retired) and Lohdi’s 44, along with 65 extras, took Glodwick to 207 for four.
In reply, Austerlands were skittled out for 51.
