Oldham girls leap into national finals

SHOWJUMPING:
THE four-strong equestrian team from Oldham’s Hulme Grammar School has qualified for the National Schools’ Showjumping finals.
The team performed heroically throughout qualifying tournament at the Burton Equestrian Centre near Hull.
Hulme’s 80cm novice team of Kiarra Hulme (12), Molly Ditchfield (13), Katy Rothwell (13) and Lara Crisci (16) finished second out of 16 teams to qualify for the finals, at the Addington Manor Equestrian Centre in Buckinghamshire in October.
There was also success for Hulme in the solo event, with Katy and Molly reaching the Individual competition finals at Addington Manor.
Hulme’s three-strong intermediate team of Katy, Lara and Freya Scott (16) was just a fence away from qualifying in a close fourth place.
