School’s stars shine

Crompton House School pupils were in great form as both girls and boys emerged victors at the Oldham Schools’ Athletics Championships track events.
The girls Year Sevens set the tone at the Radclyffe Athletics Track as they won their age group, ahead of Saddleworth and Blue Coat Schools.
Saddleworth won the Year Eights age group gold, while Newman College topped Year Nine and Hulme, Year 10.
In the boys’ events, the Year Sevens, Eights and Nines age groups all saw joint gold medal winners in Failsworth and Crompton House, Saddleworth and Oasis, and Waterhead and Saddleworth respectively.
Hulme just pipped Crompton house to the Year 10 gold medals.
