AFTER big brother Aaron crashed out it was up to Ryan to fly the Davies flag in the North-West under-16s Grand Prix Pool Championships.
And the 11-year-old not only carried it but did the family proud - by walking off with the regional title.
Aaron (16), the defending national champion, got no further than the group stage in Liverpool, leaving the Davies clan to cheer on his brother.
Ryan went all the way and is now looking forward to the national finals in Herefordshire next month.
“Aaron wasn’t very impressed that he was knocked out,” said dad Martin. The two lads he lost to, Ryan beatin the semi-finals and final.
“He was still really pleased for his brother, though, as were all the family.”
Aaron was able to add to a personal roll of honour as he helped England clinch the under-18s World Pool Championships.
The teenager enjoyed a sparkling competition and was the top player with 24 wins out of 30 games
