Richard guns for more glory

KARATE prodigy Richard Reygan has his eyes on winning more silverware at the world championships tournament this weekend.

Though only eight, this will be the second time he has competed at the world finals. Last year in Italy, the South Failsworth Primary School pupil won four golds, two silver and two bronze medals, making him the youngest ever multi world champion to represent his club, the Dojo Karate Centre in Rochdale.

This year’s tournament, in Cardiff, takes place between July 24 and 27. Richard is entering four different events.
