A MARTIAL arts event in Thailand proved rich pickings for four Siam Camp students.
The four, who attend the Oldham facility that teaches Muay Thai combat sport, returned from Bangkok with a gold medal each. The first international Thai Martial Arts Games and Festival included the third Muay Boran World Championships, at which the Oldham party excelled.
The four Siam gold medal winners, who wore Great Britain colours, were 11-year-old Leah Ellaby, Amelia Gregory (13) — Crompton House provided their pupil with her official tracksuit and time off from her studies — Tiree Conway (15) and Irena Krcmarova (30).
Tiree had help from Villages Housing, from Fitton Hill, in financing the trip to Thailand and achieving her dream.
Grand Master Kevin Lloyd, the owner of Siam at Belgrave Mill, nurtured the students in their quest for international honours.
Training takes place three evenings a week on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
