ADAM JEFFREY
SADDLEWORTH Rangers forward Adam Jeffrey was part of Lancashire's first game in BARLA Tri-Counties series as they took on Cumbria at Askam on Sunday.
Despite a spirited performance from the subs bench which saw Jeffrey heavily involved, he was unable to help the Red Rose county to victory as the hosts prevailed 18-10.
Peter Lister (two) and Marcus O'Brien scored Cumbria's tries with Sam Grainey and Jimmy Muir responding for Lancashire. Clayton Sutton also kicked three goals for Cumbria with Sean Leicester replying with a solitary goal.
Lancashire need to beat Yorkshire by 10 points in the decider at Ince Rose Bridge on Sunday to win the series. The match gets under way after the completion of an under-19s fixture (1pm).
