Rugby clubs look for young players

HIGGINSHAW ARLFC will play in the Pennine Winter League season starting in September.

Meanwhile, Higginshaw Marshalls under-12s team are recruiting players for the Summer League which starts in March. Training takes place each Saturday, from 10am, on the Beever School sports field. New and old players are welcome.

The club are also recruiting an open age coach and a coach for the under-12s team.

Higginshaw are also looking to expand their rugby committee and would like to encourage all former players and new members to get involved with running the club and to help to bring success back to the club.

n Saddleworth under-18s are inviting players old and new to join them for pre-season training at Counthill/Moorside sports hall on Tuesdays, 7.30-8.30pm, and Thursdays at Saddleworth School, 7-8pm. The club's under-11s team are in need of players. Call John Whitehead on 07760 351359.
