JAMES MAURICE SCOTT . . . back to lead Royton
ROYTON are hoping to welcome their overseas amateur early next month.
The Paddock club had to scrap the idea of bringing in Durgesh Mishra as he didn't comply with new Home Office/ECB regulations.
A clutch of other clubs in the Pennine Cricket League also had to change their plans after new rules concerning overseas amateurs were unveiled.
Royton have lined up Nitish Salekar, who hails from the same club as Indian professional Chiggy Khurana. They are currently waiting for the visa application to be signed off.
A right-arm paceman, 26-year-old Salekar also opens the batting.
Skipper James Maurice Scott missed the Shaw loss, because of work commitments, but is available this weekend.
Ryan Carruthers and Liam Brown are still banned.
