FAILSWORTH'S Danny Wright is hoping tonight's latest professional fight at the Bolton Whites Hotel at Bolton Wanderers FC heralds the start of a busy couple of months in the boxing ring.

Hot welterweight prospect Wright (20) is hoping to shine in front of the BoxNation TV cameras as he more than likely takes on tough-as-teak Torquay-based journeyman Ali Wyatt.

Another victory would be Wright's fourth out of four in the professional ranks, and he's hoping to stay active as he pursues progress in the British rankings.

Wright said: "I've trained really well again (with Ben Lancaster in Middleton).

"It's been wind-down time this week, with some sharpening work in between.

"Sparring has been good again so I'm looking forward to putting on another decent show.

"The plan is to try and keep busy over the next few months.

"Providing everything goes to plan in Bolton, then I hope to get out again in June, then in July.

"After that it's the close season in August. I'll take a bit of a break before really knuckling down for the new season.

"Everything is progressing well for me so far."

Wright has made an almost seamless transition into the professional game after enjoying a stellar amateur career.

His third straight victory came in March in Wigan when he convincingly out-pointed Nathan Hardy.

A talent-stacked VIP Promotions card awaits fight fans in Bolton tonight, and a few tickets remain on sale.

Middleton's unbeaten star-in-the-making Zelfa Barrett tops the bill, which also features Delph hopeful Andy Kremner.

Also fighting are north-west favourites Luke Blackledge, Dale Coyne, Jack Flatley, Shakeeb Ali, Harry Khan, Jack Cullen and more.
